"Then he isn't safe?" said Lucy.
"Safe?" said Mr. Beaver. "Don't you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? "Course he isn't safe. But he's good. He's the King, I tell you."

Without endorsing President Joe Biden, the editorial board of the St. Louis Post Dispatch warned Republican voters — particularly so-called "Reagan Republicans" — that Donald Trump should be kept as far away from the corridors of power as possible.
In an editorial published on Thursday, the board of the influential midwestern newspaper declared Reagan Republicanism "dead" — and added the former president is the culprit who killed it, with party members fingered as accomplices.
The editors wrote, "Even among the many Republicans out there who recognize Trump’s obvious unfitness for office, there will be a strong temptation to fall back on partisan muscle-memory and vote for him anyway," before adding, "Republicans and conservatives of good conscience who can’t bring themselves to vote for President Joe Biden — fine — should at least consider any alternative that doesn’t give a vote to this unstable, malicious man and his dangerous movement."
Pointing to Trump's part in the Jan. 6 insurrection, the editors cited his suggestion that he not only be given total immunity to run the country as he sees fit if re-elected, but also his hint that he would have no problem seeing his political enemies arrested or killed.
Bolstering their case by noting, "These are all publicly expressed notions from Trump’s own mouth, his social-media thumbs and his defense strategy in criminal court," the editors darkly suggested, "European history of the not-too-distant past has some antecedents to this fervent phenomenon. None of them turned out well."
Getting to the point, the board wrote that there are reasons to be fearful of Biden's advanced age, but a vote for Trump should be beyond the pale.
"Say this for Biden, though: He’s not an indicted alleged criminal, a civilly liable rapist, a divisive demagogue or an anti-constitutional aspiring autocrat. Trump is all of these things. He belongs nowhere near power," the board wrote.
"For those who understand this, but who, for whatever reason, can’t bring themselves to vote for Biden, we get it. We suggest a write-in vote that would make an important point for serious Republicans: 'Ronald Wilson Reagan.'"

Men who throw around the term convicted of rape, knowing full well Trump has never been criminally charged or convicted, should hope no women ever claims they raped them ,30 years ago, in a supposed public attack, lacking any evidence whatsoever.
Meanwhile, today in a Texas, another member of Biden's Migrant Army was charged with the murder of a Houston cheerleader. Her mother found her in her bathtub, cold to the touch. A parent can only imagine the horror of her last hours of life. That is our great nation, unvetted migrant gangbangers murdering young women, and no one in DC cares.
vertaald:
