That is one side of the coin, my friend. I would even say: you cannot be saved without having and believing doctrine about God and Christ, sin and salvation. The bible teaches us the great importance of sound biblical doctrine.

Acts 2:42 - And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Rom 6:17 - But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
1 Tim 4:16 - Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

It is not a question whether you have doctrine or not. Also them who claim that doctrine is of no importance, make their conclusions from reading the bible, and thus have doctrine. The question is: is your doctrine biblical or is it not!
